#ShareYourEars: Disneyland Fans Encouraged to Take Part in Charity Campaign

Disney was asking its fans and social media users to post photos of themselves with Mickey Mouse ears as part of a brand new charity campaign to benefit Make-A-Wish.

For every “ear photo” shared on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter with the hashtag #ShareYourEars, Disney will donate $5 — and up to $1 million total — to Make-A-Wish America and Make-A-Wish International, the resort said in a blog post on Thursday.

Since a pair of Mickey ears is not required to participate, some have gotten creative with their photos, using their hands, balloons, cookies and even park displays to create the famed silhouette, photos posted to the ShareYourEars.com website showed.

“The more creative the better,” Disney’s blog post read.

The campaign, which is part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration, runs through March 14. The website did not specify how many photos one person could submit, or if there was even a limit.

Disney has partnered with Make-A-Wish since 1980 to make the wishes of more than 100,000 children with life-threatening medical conditions come true, according to the blog.
