The Chevrolet Trailblazer was traveling northbound in the 1400 block of Euclid Street (map) about 4 p.m. when the crash occurred, said Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Department.

The vehicle, driven by an unidentified man in his late teens, came to a stop inside a bedroom, Concialdi said. The collision ignited a small fire that was extinguished by firefighters.

The teenager was transported to UCI Medical Center in moderate condition.

The homeowner was watching her favorite college football team on television at the time of the collision, according to to Concialdi. She almost certainly would have been killed if she had been in the bedroom, he said.

If was unclear if the driver would face possible charges in connection with the incident.
