A flash-flood warning was issued Sunday afternoon for areas of San Bernardino and Riverside counties, the National Weather Service announced.
Among the areas that may be affected by the severe weather were Hesperia, Rancho Cucamonga and Jurupa Valley.
Doppler radar indicated a cluster of thunderstorms from western portions of the Inland Empire northward to the High Desert, according to the Weather Service.
Flash flooding was expected to begin shortly after 3:30 p.m., especially in steep terrain, the agency said. The warning was scheduled to expire at 6:30 p.m.
