A Fresno State football player has been identified as the student arrested in connection with a social media threat that detailed a plan to use a weapon to shoot students on campus.
Christian Pryor, 18, of Los Angeles, was taken into custody Monday in the athletic department offices on suspicion of making the threats that day, according to university police Chief David Huerta.
Pryor was a walk-on freshman for the university’s football team and graduated from Locke High School in South Los Angeles, the Fresno Bee reported.
Police were able to track down his phone number on the anonymous social media site Yik Yak, Huerta said.
