Visitors to six city parks and beaches in Los Angeles will have access to free wireless Internet access beginning Thursday.

Cabrillo Beach, Echo Park Lake, Griffith Observatory, Pershing Square, Reseda Park, and Venice Beach were part of a pilot program called Oh, Ranger! Wi-Fi.

The Toyota-sponsored program will offer Wi-Fi through designated hotspot locations.

Visitors may access the Internet by going to m.laparks.org and submitting a request to the L.A. parks department’s construction and maintenance division.

The Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid was also sponsoring free Wi-Fi at parks in New York and New Jersey, according to a news release from the city of Los Angeles.
