“Thanks to everyone for their love & support. I’m home & well. Very appreciative of the BHPD & Cedars for their care,” he tweeted to his 1.5 million followers shortly after 10:30 a.m.

Stamos, 51, was stopped Friday at Beverly Drive and South Santa Monica Boulevard after law enforcement received several calls reporting a possible DUI driver near the area around 7:45 p.m., according to a news release from the Beverly Hills Police Department.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time.

Stamos was transported to an area hospital for a possible medical condition and later placed under arrest after an investigation determined that he had been driving under the influence, Lt. Lincoln Hoshino stated in the release.

He was cited and ultimately released to the care of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Hoshino said.  It was unclear how long Stamos stayed at the hospital before he was able to go home.

His first scheduled court appearance was set for Sept. 11 at LAX Courthouse, according to police.

Stamos is perhaps best known for his role as Uncle Jesse in the popular sitcom “Full House” and was scheduled to reprise it in the upcoming 2016 project “Fuller House.”
