Video showed Los Angeles Police Department officers running toward a home in the 1600 block of North Crescent Heights Boulevard in the Hollywood Hills West neighborhood just after 12:15 a.m. Monday after receiving numerous reports of shots fired.
Investigators determined that a party was being held Sunday night at the home when two groups of men got into some type of altercation.
Gunfire erupted as one of those groups was trying to leave the party, according to witnesses.
Police told KTLA that two men struck and wounded by the gunfire were expected to survive.
It was unclear what prompted the argument between the two groups.
Guests were seen running from the home following the shooting but most have not been cooperating with the investigation, police said.
Weapons were said to have been found at or near the home.
Two people were detained following the shooting but no arrests were immediately reported.
