Police are searching for a hit-and-run bicyclist who left an elderly woman severely injured in Sierra Madre.

Officers received reports of the crash on Saturday, Feb. 3 at around 10 a.m.

The victim, identified only as an elderly woman, was walking near the intersection of North Baldwin Avenue and Highland Avenue.

That’s when the suspect bicyclist rode by and struck the victim, according to Sierra Madre police.

The cyclist continued riding away from the scene without stopping to provide aid to the victim or call for help.

The collision left the elderly woman with serious injuries, police said.

A photo of the suspect was released in the hope the public may recognize the biker. No further information, including the suspect’s possible gender, was released.
