The Chandler Street Tiny Home Village has opened in North Hollywood.

The village, which has 40 homes and 75 beds for people experiencing homelessness, is one of the first communities of this kind to open its doors in Los Angeles County. Redondo Beach set up a similar village in 2020.

Donors can sponsor a unit at the North Hollywood site for $3,000, according to the Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission.

Megan Telles and Chris Wolfe report for the KTLA 5 News on Feb. 6, 2021.
