L.A. Shelters Cut Adoption Fees for Thanksgiving Weekend, Offer Safety Tips for Pet Owners

The Los Angeles Department of Animal Services is cutting its adoption fees for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend.

The agency’s Chatsworth, Van Nuys, Lincoln Heights, South L.A., San Pedro and Sawtelle shelters will cut their adoption fees in half for puppies, dogs and kittens Friday through Sunday (click here for addresses). Adoption fees for cats will be waived. The discounted adoption fees are as follows:

The fees cover vaccination, spay or neuter surgery and microchip. L.A. city residents will have to pay for an additional $20 license fee for dogs.
