Two LAPD officers were hospitalized after a vehicle collided with their patrol car in West Los Angeles on Tuesday, police said.

The officers were responding to an emergency when their vehicle was broadsided by another car at Bundy Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard (map) at about 4:20 p.m., according to Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Officer Drake Madison.

One officer complained of shoulder pain, while the other had pain in his neck, Madison said. Both were taken by ambulance to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered serious.

The other driver was not injured, Madison said.

Aerial video from Sky5 showed a black-and-white patrol car and a silver Toyota Prius stopped in the middle of the intersection. Both had damage, especially the Prius, which had a crumpled front end.

The patrol car appeared to have damage on its left rear door. Debris littered the intersection.

More than a dozen police and Los Angeles Fire Department vehicles were on scene.
