A shooting in Cerritos early Sunday morning left a man dead, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Investigators responded to reports of a car crash at 1:15 a.m. in the 13300 block of Artesia Boulevard. The responding authorities found a car with significant front-end damage.
Inside the vehicle, a man was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso, authorities said.
The man was transported to a local hospital, where he later died.
No identifying information for the man was publicly released by authorities as of Sunday morning.
