Police asked the public for help on Tuesday in their search for a man who robbed a Riverside jewelry store at gunpoint last week.
The robbery took place at the Kevin Jewelers located inside the Galleria at Tyler (map) at about 7:40 p.m. on Sept. 3, according to a news release from the Riverside Police Department.
A man posing as a customer pulled a handgun from his pocked and demanded an employee remove jewelry from the glass display case, according to the news release.
The robber then threatened the worker and told her to turn around before taking the jewelry and walking out of the store, police stated.
Investigators released surveillance video of the incident in hopes that someone may be able to identify the man.
The robber was described as a white man in his 50s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.
He was clean shaven with gray hair and was wearing a tan long sleeve collared pullover, dark jeans, a tan hat and clear lens glasses, according to police.
Anyone with information was asked to contact Detective Jim Brandt at 951-353-7137, or by email at JBrandt@riversideca.gov.
