Marchers protesting the Michael Brown grand jury ruling in Ferguson, Missouri made their way onto the 110 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles Monday night, aerial video showed.
Some of the demonstrators could be seen lying down in the road in front of traffic, forcing the closure of both sides of the freeway.
Video showed the protesters managed to gain access to the freeway by walking up an embankment near Pico Boulevard.
A number of patrol cars could be seen forming a line between the marchers and freeway traffic.
