A 13-year-old boy who disappeared in East Los Angeles over the weekend has been located, authorities said Wednesday.

Oscar Eduardo Flores Sorta, who was described as “critically missing,” was last seen on Saturday, Dec. 23 in the 900 block of South Downey Road at around 2 p.m.

Family members had not heard from him since and were very concerned for his well-being, authorities said.

Investigators did not provide details about where the teen was located or his condition but did thank the community for its help.

“Thank you to the public, the media, Aero Bureau, and deputy personnel for their tireless efforts in the search for Oscar,” an updated news release stated.
