Missing Sacramento Woman, 9 Months Pregnant, May Be in Southern California: Police

Aubrey Andrews, 20, is seen in a photo released by the Sacramento Police Department.

Police and family members on Sunday asked for the public’s help in finding a missing Sacramento woman who is nine months pregnant and may be in Southern California.

Aubrey Andrews, 20, is seen in a photo released by the Sacramento Police Department.

Aubrey Andrews, 20, was last seen about 10 p.m. Dec. 6 near her home in the 5900 block of Jacinto Avenue (map), near Elk Grove, according to a news release from the Sacramento Police Department.

Andrews was reportedly “distraught” when she drove off in her white four-door Toyota Prius, the release said.

Her husband, Edward Andrews, told KTXL-TV that he initially thought she would simply go to a friend’s house for a short while.

Her purse was found on the doorstep of their home Dec. 7, along with some notebooks that described her need to leave, he said.

“If she doesn’t want to be here, she doesn’t have to be,” he said Saturday in an interview, during which he issued a tearful plea to his wife. “But at least let us know. Tell us you went somewhere, that you’re safe.”

The couple has a 3-year-old son and is expecting a boy, Edward Andrews said.

“The baby could come at any time at this point,” he said, adding that his wife suffered from post-partum depression after her first pregnancy.

She has not used her bank card since she was last seen, and calls to her cellphone go directly to voicemail, her husband said.

Authorities described the disappearance as “unusual,” adding that foul play was not suspected.

Aubrey Andrews “may have traveled to Southern California where she is known to have family or friends,” police said.

She is described as Filipina, 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 150 pounds, with brown/hazel eyes and black hair with gold or blonde highlights.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Sacramento Police Department at 916-264-5471.
