A man died Sunday morning after the motorcycle he was driving crashed on a street in Pomona, police said.

The driver, identified as a Pomona resident in his 30s, was headed northbound on White Avenue at 3:32 a.m. when he lost control of the 2006 Suzuki at Preciado Street (map), according to a press release.

The man was ejected from the motorcycle, which struck several objects in the crash.

Pomona Police Department officers arrived at the scene and found the driver severely injured, the release said. He died as a result of those injuries.

The man’s name was not immediately released, pending official identification by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The crash is under investigation.
