An industrial building caught fire in Anaheim on Saturday, sending plumes of dark smoke into the air and prompting a multiagency response.

The fire broke out near East Coronado Street and North Kraemer Boulevard around 4:28 p.m., Anaheim Fire Department officials said.

Processing equipment had caught fire in an industrial building that manufactures circuit boards, according to Fire Department spokesman Daron Wyatt.

The fire was knocked down around 5 p.m., after Anaheim Fire Department, Orange Fire Department, Orange County Fire Authority, and hazmat team personnel responded.

The blaze appeared to have started at the building’s exterior before spreading onto the roof, Wyatt said.

The cause was under investigation.
