A naked man was taken into custody after being spotted on top of a bus along the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood Thursday.
Calls about a naked man on a bus came into the West Hollywood Station about 1:45 p.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Enrique Mandujan.
Photos taken from the scene show the man standing on the roof of the bus while the vehicle was stopped in front a Best Western. At one point, the man sat down on the top rung of a ladder that authorities had set up next to the bus.
The man was taken into custody at Sunset Boulevard and North Kings Road, Mandujan confirmed.
The sheriff’s Transit Services Bureau deputies responded, detaining and transporting the man for a mental evaluation, the department said on Twitter. No one was injured.
