Twenty-two Marines were injured Thursday during a training exercise at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at Twentynine Palms.
Marines and sailors of the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment were taking part in the exercise on board an Assault Amphibious Vehicle when a fire extinguisher system inadvertently discharged, according to a post on The Combat Center at Twentynine Palms’ Facebook page.
Those requiring medical treatment were receiving care at local medical facilities and were in stable condition, the post stated.
