A man was shot in the Adams-Normandie district Tuesday morning.

The victim suffered a gunshot wound when Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived at the Normandie Avenue exit of the 10 Freeway. According to LAPD spokesperson Tony Im, the victim was headed towards the on-ramp of the freeway when the incident occurred.

Los Angeles Fire Department officials confirmed that the victim was transported to a local hospital. His condition remains unknown.
