A toddler died on Saturday after her mother struck her while moving an RV at a Dockweiler State Beach campground, authorities have confirmed.
The collision was reported at 5:47 p.m. in an RV park adjacent to the 12200 block of Vista Del Mar.
The Los Angeles Police Department said it appeared that a woman was moving the vehicle when she heard a noise and realized that she’d struck the child.
The child, described only as a 2-year-old Hispanic girl, died shortly after.
No additional details were immediately made available. The investigation remained ongoing as of Sunday morning.
