The Fullerton Fire Department received a call around 5:59 p.m. of a small plane down at Fullerton Airport at 4011 W. Commonwealth Avenue.

The plane, a single-engine SAIS Marchetti SF 260, lost control while taking off, veered across the runway, struck three parked airplanes and crashed into a hangar, according to a City of Fullerton press release.

Two people were on board the plane, owned by Air Combat USA, and sustained minor injuries. The pilot was on a routine flight, officials said.
