Police Investigating Possible Sex Assault of Student at UCLA Fraternity

University of California police were investigating a report that a student was sexually assaulted at a UCLA fraternity, authorities said Thursday.

The incident occurred over the weekend in the 500 block of Gayley Avenue (map), according to Sgt. Echols with the UC Police Department. The name of the fraternity was being withheld.

A woman reported to police Sunday night that she had been raped between 11:15 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. that day, according to the Daily Bruin.

The victim, who is a student, said she was incapacitated when she was assaulted in a building located west of campus, according to a statement issued by UCLA police.

Detectives were pursuing a number of leads in the case, the Police Department stated.

The attacker was described as a white man, about 20 years old, standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He had dark hair and brown eyes.
