Police on Monday afternoon were called to a house  in Boyle Heights after a man’s parents called to report that he was armed and creating a disturbance, officials said.

Officers responded at 4:38 p.m to the home, located near the intersection of Garnet Street and Orme Avenue (map), said Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department. However, the man was determined to be “gone on arrival.”

The parents told authorities that he may have been under the influence, Madison said.

Police temporarily set up a perimeter and conducted a search. Aerial footage showed multiple patrol vehicles and officers on foot in the neighborhood before they departed the area.

No other information was immediately available.
