‘Pot Suckers’ Allegedly Seized From Student at Simi Valley High School

Two "marijuana" suckers are seen in a photo released by the Simi Valley Police Department.

A student at Simi Valley High School was arrested for allegedly being in possession of marijuana candy, police said on Wednesday.

The student was accused of having two “marijuana suckers,” which were seized by school resource officers, according to a Simi Valley Police Department news release.

The candies are also known as “pot suckers” or jolly lollies,” police stated.

The student was arrested on Tuesday and later released, according to the news release.

Investigators reminded parents to be aware that such items exist and may become more readily available as many of the purchases are made online.

The marijuana candies are generally made as lolly pops, however, they can come in almost any shape, size or color, according to the news release.

Anyone with information regarding marijuana candies on school grounds or any criminal activity was asked to contact the Simi Valley Police Department at 805-583-6950 or through Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8487.
