Now, the waiting begins.
California’s top two Democratic candidates for the U.S. Senate cast their ballots in Tuesday’s primary election in the morning, and will have to bide their time until polls close at 8 p.m. and results start trickling in.
Harris, the state attorney general, will hop on a plane to Sacramento, where she will drop by California Democratic Party headquarters to thank volunteers who have been calling voters on her behalf. Harris won the party’s official endorsement earlier this year.
Harris then heads to San Francisco, where she served as district attorney before being elected attorney general in 2010, to hobnob with afternoon BART commuters.
