A seawall was destroyed in Newport Beach and the streets were flooded on Wednesday night, according to the Newport Beach Fire Department.

Authorities received a call around 8:08 p.m. and crews were on the scene at 36th Street and Finley Avenue.

No injuries have been reported, officials said.

Video from Sky5 showed water up to worker’s ankles as they worked to contain the flood with sandbags and pumped water back into the bay.

Residents in the area are also shown sweeping water out of their homes and garages.
