A settlement was reached with the city of Fontana over warehouse environmental issues, “to protect vulnerable communities from pollution associated with industrial development where they live, work, and go to school,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced Monday.

Duke Realty released the following statement following the settlement:

“Duke Realty is proactive in its approach to development. We worked closely with the City of Fontana to ensure the economic and environmental impacts were considered. Additionally, as Fontana city leaders developed the ordinance designed to create guidelines and policies to ensure thoughtful development practices while addressing environmental concerns, Duke Realty remained respectful and provided our expertise. We are excited to move forward with our project in Fontana as we implement best practices and mitigation measures that align with the new ordinance.”
