Several people have been arrested within evacuated areas of the Blue Cut Fire since the blaze broke out Tuesday, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials said.

Three people arrested on suspicion of looting are shown in photos released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on Aug. 18, 2016.

On Wednesday, a man riding on an ATV in the area of Baldy Mesa and Phelan Road was found to be in possession of a handgun and ammunition and was arrested.

On Thursday, two men with burglary tools were arrested within the evacuation perimeter in Phelan, officials said.

The men did not reside in the area.

Also Thursday, three people were arrested on suspicion of looting in the 8600 block of Swarthout Canyon Road, which has been evacuated shortly after the fire started.

About 70 deputies have been assigned to patrol the evacuated areas, officials said.
