One person was hospitalized after a shooting in a Jack in the Box parking lot in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning, according to Los Angeles Police Department officials.

The shooting occurred around 5:15 a.m. near West 25th Street and South Vermont Avenue (map), in South L.A.’s Adams-Normandie neighborhood, an LAPD watch commander at the Southwest Community Police Station said.

One person was hit by gunfire and transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.
