Fire crews were mopping up after a small brush fire that scorched some 2.5 acres in Pacific Palisades early Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The fire broke out around 3 a.m. in the 100 block of North Temescal Canyon Road on a hillside above the Pacific Coast Highway.
It burned in heavy brush for nearly 3 hours and 30 minutes before it was knocked down by 104 firefighters, according to LAFD officials.
There were no immediate reports of injuries, or damages to any structures, LAFD tweeted.
It was still not known what sparked the fire, and the cause of the blaze was under investigation.
