Southern Californians Reflect During World AIDS Day

Los Angeles City Hall was illuminated in red to mark World AIDS Day on Dec. 1. 2018.

Throughout Southern California and the world, people observed World Aids Day on Saturday.

In 2017, nearly 37 million people worldwide lived with the HIV virus, which causes AIDS, according to United Nations statistics. That represents an increase of 600,000 over the previous year.
