Rescue crews cut the roof off of an SUV to get to a trapped person following a rollover crash in Beverly Hills on Monday.

The black SUV crashed near the intersection of West Olympic Boulevard and South Crescent Drive (map) at about 7:40 a.m., according to a spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police Department.

One person was trapped inside the wrecked vehicle, which took out a street sign and ended up on its side, aerial video from Sky5 showed.

The roof of the SUV had to be cut off before firefighters could pull the person out of the vehicle, the video showed.

Rescue crews could be seen giving chest compressions to the person, who was put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

It was unclear what caused the accident or if any other vehicles were involved.

West Olympic Boulevard between South Rexford Drive and South Beverly Drive were closed in both directions as crews worked to clear the scene.
