Two teens aged 13 and 14 have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in North Hollywood last month.

Jorge Ramos, 19, was shot at about 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 20 near the intersection of Vanowen Street and Ethel Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a news release. He was declared dead at the scene.

On Feb. 29, a 13-year-old boy was arrested in Van Nuys and a 14-year-old boy was arrested in North Hills, police said, and “several items of evidence were recovered.”

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against the boys on March 1. The 14-year-old has been charged with murder, and the 13-year-old faces a charge of being an accessory to murder. Neither boy’s identity will be released due to their age.
