Investigators have discovered more alleged victims of a high school trainer who is accused of inappropriately touching students, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Police were called to Birmingham Community Charter High School on Tuesday when a minor reported Richard Turner, 64, had inappropriately touched them, police said in a news release.
“Further investigation identified a second victim, also a minor, from a 2017 case while Turner was employed at Van Nuys High School,” LAPD said.
Turner was first arrested Wednesday on a charge of Forcible Penetration with a Foreign Object. He posted bail Thursday morning.
“The Los Angeles Police Department’s Juvenile Division detectives interviewed additional victims throughout the day (Thursday), and a probable cause arrest warrant was sought and issued for Turner’s arrest on newfound allegations,” LAPD said.
Turner was then re-arrested for four additional counts of Forcible Penetration with a Foreign Object.
Bail was set at $750,000.
