Upcoming ‘Rogue One’ Premier Prompts Weeklong Hollywood Road Closures

Road closures will be in place beginning Monday night in Hollywood in anticipation of this weekend’s world premiere of “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.”

The event is being held Saturday at the Pantages Theatre, LAist reported, and drivers will want to avoid several streets surrounding the venue.

Some street closures will begin as early as 10 p.m. Monday and will continue until 6 a.m. Dec. 13, a news release from the Los Angeles Department of Public Works stated.

Hollywood Boulevard Closures:

Hollywood Boulevard between Ivar Avenue and Vine Street, and between Vine Street and Argyle Avenue, will be closed from 10 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. on Dec. 13.

Hollywood Boulevard between Argyle Avenue and Gower Street will be closed to westbound traffic on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Hollywood Boulevard between Cahuenga Boulevard and Ivar Avenue will be closed to eastbound traffic on Saturday from 3 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Vine Street Closures:

Vine Street between Hollywood Boulevard and Yucca Street will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Vine Street between Sunset Boulevard and Yucca Street will be closed from 3 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Saturday.

“Rogue One” is scheduled to appear in theaters on Dec. 16.
