Police and family members on Saturday were asking for the public’s help in locating a USC medical student who went missing several days prior, authorities said.

Derek Adam Seehausen was last seen in the 400 block of West Glenoaks Boulevard in Glendale (map) on Tuesday morning and hasn’t been heard from since, according to a Los Angeles Police Department news release.

His family was extremely concerned, and worried that the 26-year-old may be suicidal, the release stated.

Seehausen was described by police as being 6 feet tall, weighing about 180 pounds and having brown hair and hazel eyes, according to the release. He was last seen in a light-colored shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on Seehausen’s whereabouts was urged to contact LAPD Rampart Division detectives at 213-484-3400 or, during non-business hours and weekends, at 1-877-527-3247.

People who would like to remain anonymous were asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477, texting a message beginning with the letters “LAPD” to 274637 with a cell phone, or through the website LAPDOnline.org.
