A brush fire that destroyed three structures and prompted evacuations in the Nuevo area on Wednesday has been fully contained, the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The Water Fire broke out at 7:19 a.m. in the 26000 block of Water Avenue, according to the incident page.
The blaze burned 5 acres and was fully contained by 12:30 p.m.

Mandatory evacuations have been lifted.
Three outbuildings and two vehicles have been destroyed, according to the incident page.
More than 100 firefighters were dispatched to battle the blaze. They face challenging weather conditions, including winds gusting up to 60 mph.
Like most of Southern California, the Nuevo area was under a red flag warning on Wednesday due to critical fire weather conditions. A high wind warning is also in effect.
Both warnings are set to expire at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
