West Hollywood Announces Street Closures for Annual Halloween Carnaval

Scantily clad Donald Trump? Pizza Rat? El Chapo? Go-go dancer?

They’re probably all likely to be seen, en masse, on the streets of West Hollywood on Saturday for the annual Halloween Carnaval. And so, the city announced Monday, there will be several streets closed throughout the weekend.

Major closures include Santa Monica Boulevard, which will be closed between North Doheny Drive and Croft Avenue from noon Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. San Vicente Boulevard between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue will be closed from 12 a.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday. Additional street closures can be found at the West Hollywood website.

Hundreds of thousands of people are expected for the Santa Monica Boulevard-based event, which will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday. The Halloween Carnaval, now in its 27th year, will be paying tribute to the 40th anniversary of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” by naming actor Tim Curry as West Hollywood’s honorary mayor.
