A tree toppled over and onto an SUV in Sherman Oaks Friday, the same day a wind advisory was in effect for Los Angeles and Ventura Counties.

The National Weather Service advisory warned of winds of 15 to 30 mph and gusts up to 40 mph in the two counties. It was scheduled to expire at 3 p.m.

Gusts could topple trees, the advisory stated, such as one that appeared to be completely uprooted and on top of an SUV in the 13300 block of Chandler Boulevard (map) in Sherman Oaks, video showed Friday morning.
