Shake Shack is celebrating Hollywood’s biggest night by making fans the winners.
On March 11, the day after the Oscars, the fast-food chain will give away free Chicken Shack sandwiches or SmokeShack burgers.
In partnership with Known, a marketing agency, the company predicted the award show would have an estimated runtime of 3 hours and 31 minutes. Should the ceremony go over or under the estimate, fans nationwide can get free food.
“If the awards show goes over 3 hours and 31 minutes, the Chicken Shack will be free, but if the show is under 3 hours and 31 minutes, the SmokeShack will be the free sandwich,” a news release said.
The Oscars are known for high fashion, red carpet moments, and a notoriously long runtime. For example, in 2002, the show lasted over four hours; in 1959, it lasted one hour and forty minutes.
To receive the free item, customers would have to place a $10 minimum order at a Shake Shack kiosk, on shakeshack.com, or the Shack App and enter the code BIGWINS at checkout.
In honor of the Oscars, the Shake Shack location in West Hollywood will “be getting a full glam makeover inclusive of a red carpet, big bright lights & photo booth for LA residents to enjoy,” a news release said.
Nominees in all categories can also receive a free ShackBurgers on Sunday at the West Hollywood location, with proof of ID.
Shake Shack will also serve its Shackburgers, Shroom Burgers, and Crinkle Cut fries at the Oscars Night at the Museum event at the Academy Museum on Sunday. Catering from Wolfgang Puck and wine from Clarendelle & Domaine Clarence Dillon will also be available.
KTLA’s Oscars coverage will begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
