This seems like the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
Gus is a baby gorilla at the Forth Worth Zoo, and here he is playing a little “monkey see” (or more accurately, “ape see”) with another young primate.
This photo of Gus and his new friend Braylee charmed Forth Worth Zoo fans on Facebook.
No surprise, since Gus is already somewhat of a celebrity.
The little gorilla was born in December, 2015 and is the Forth Worth Zoo’s first baby gorilla.
He has big shoes to fill too — he is named after Captain Augustus McCrae, the fictional hero of the iconic novel “Lonesome Dove.”
Lonesome, he is not, however. We suspect curious Gus will have plenty of new admirers to play with in his future.
