Authorities in Honduras were searching Monday for a beauty queen and her sister who vanished just days before the Miss World Pageant.
María José Alvarado Muñoz and her sister were last seen getting into a car after a party on Thursday, CNN reported.
Family members reported the sisters missing on Saturday, according to police.
Alvarado, a student from Santa Bárbara, Honduras, described herself as “dedicated” and an aspiring diplomat who enjoys playing sports, according to her profile page on the pageant’s website.
The 19-year-old was crowned Miss World Honduras in April.
