“High School Musical” star Vanessa Hudgens and her actor boyfriend were being investigated Wednesday for suspected vandalism after an incriminating picture was posted on her Instagram account, CNN reports.
The investigation comes after Hudgens and boyfriend Austin Butler celebrated Valentine’s weekend in Sedona, Arizona.
Several pictures were posted to her Instagram account documenting the trip, including one that showed “Austin+Vanessa” inside a heart, all carved into one of the area’s rare red rocks near Coconino National Forest, CNN reports.
The post, which has since been deleted, prompted an investigation because federal law prohibits anyone from defacing natural surfaces on federal property.
The couple may face a fine up to $5,000, or six months in jail.
