Pursuit Suspect Collapses on Busy Texas Interstate After Being Shot With Stun Gun

A shoplifting suspect that led authorities on a high-speed pursuit in Garland, Texas, collapsed onto a busy interstate Tuesday after officers used a used a stun gun to stop him.

The suspect, later identified as 38-year-old Clinton Tyrone Lang, sped away in a truck after a reported theft at a Kohls store, police told local television station KTVT.

Officers chased truck at speeds of up to 90 mph before the driver eventually slowed the vehicle and fled on foot.

Aerial video showed the man dodging traffic and jumping over the center divider on Interstate-30 before an officer opens fire with a stun gun.

The man immediately dropped to the ground in one of the traffic lanes as vehicles continue to drive by.

The officer then runs up to the man and begins to wave at passing vehicles in order to get them to stop.

Lang was arrested and faces charges of theft and evading arrest, according to KTVT.

A second man was also arrested in connection with the Kohls theft, KTVT reported.
