Section of Denver Airport Evacuated Due to Possible Security Threat

A security threat prompted police to evacuate a section of the Denver International Airport Tuesday, hours after bombs ripped through an airport and subway station in Brussels.

According to DIA officials, police have cordoned off the west side of main terminal levels 5 and 6, from doors 600 – 610. Bomb squad officers where seen investigating at least one piece of unattended luggage.

Flights are continuing amid the investigation according to officials.

Vehicle traffic is not being allowed on the west side of the terminal, while the east side remains open.

RTD says riders should expect delays. All SkyRide, 145X, and 169L arrivals and departures being detoured to east terminal door 505.
