The relationship struggles of a 5-year-old North Carolina girl are drawing giggles and comments from thousands of Facebook users.

In a serious conversation with her mother, an anchor and reporter for television station WRAL in Raleigh, young Quinn comes to the conclusion that she needs to break up with her boyfriend.

The young man in question is “sweet and romantic,” a bespectacled Quinn says.

“But I think I’m too young to have a boyfriend,” she says.

A video of the exchange, posted by Sloane Heffernan on Wednesday night, has reached more than 71,000 viewers on Heffernan’s professional Facebook page.

Quinn seems to struggle with hurting her boyfriend.

“I don’t want to break his heart. He looks so happy,” she says.

Her mom tells her daughter, who has apparently recently gone to Ash Wednesday services, she thinks the little boy will be OK.

“I hope she lets him down easy,” Heffernan wrote on Twitter.

Quinn is a born storyteller, Heffernan wrote on her personal Facebook page, where the video reached more than 18,000 viewers in two days.

They call her “Ms. Drama,” and Quinn gets mad if her stories — real or not — are not taken seriously, Heffernan wrote.
