WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – With just 105 days until Election Day Vice President Kamala Harris is not wasting any time.
Harris is heading to Milwaukee, Wisconsin Tuesday to hold her first official campaign event at the top of the ticket
There is certainly a lot of energy around the vice president. Her campaign raised $100 million since the president endorsed her just two days ago.
Monday, she visited the Biden turned Harris campaign headquarters in Delaware to rally her new staff.
“We are going to win,” Harris said.
The former prosecutor is also sending a stark warning to her potential opponent Donald Trump.
“I know Donald Trump’s type. I will proudly put my record against his,” she said.
President Joe Biden who’s been isolating at home with Covid called in to show his support.
“I’m watching you kid! I love you,” said Biden.
On Capitol Hill the endorsements are pouring in.
“We’re very excited,” said Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi.
On the Republican side the attacks are stacking up.
On Truth Social Donald Trump accused the media of trying to make Biden look like a great president and Harris a competent person.
His running mate Senator J.D. Vance told a crowd in Ohio the sudden swap at the top of the Democratic ticket is undemocratic.
“That is no way to run a party, that is an insult to voters,” said Vance.
“Look if it violates the rules and some of these states, I expect that there will be litigation over that, so we’ll see how it develops,” said Johnson.
House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries who has yet to endorse Harris says Republicans are running scared.
“They’re having a meltdown,” said Jeffries.
Harris still faces no challengers and has enough delegates to win the Democratic nomination ahead of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago next month.
