Trump on San Bernardino Response: ‘I Would Be So Tough’

Donald Trump won’t say what he would do to terrorists in this country because it would get him in “trouble.”

“I would handle it so tough, you don’t want to hear,” Trump said in Raleigh, North Carolina, at a rally Friday night.

The Republican presidential frontrunner — 20 points ahead of primary rivals in the latest CNN/ORC Poll — was responding to a question about how he would handle terrorist attacks in the country, two days after the San Bernardino, California massacre, which claimed 14 lives.

“You don’t want to hear how I’d handle it,” Trump said. “I would get myself in so much trouble with them, we are going to handle it so tough. And you know what we’re going to do? We’re going to get it stopped.”

The mogul did not go into specifics, but he decried reports that concerns about the alleged shooters were not voiced due to political correctness.

“How about the person who knew what was going on said they didn’t want to report them because they think it might be racial profiling, did you see that?” Trump said. “We have become so politically correct that we don’t know what the hell we’re doing.”

The reports by local media were from a neighbor who said he had seen a large number of Middle Eastern men in the area recently.

He also repeated his line about the Paris terrorist attacks that gun ownership would have stopped the shooters in California.

“And by the way, by the way, if the people in Paris or the people in California, if you had a couple of folks in there with guns, and that knew how to use them, and they were in that room, you wouldn’t have dead people, the dead people would be the other guys,” he said.

He also got huge cheers from the crowd when he was interrupted by an audience member question: “What would you say to President (Barack) Obama?” Before the questioner could finish with context about terrorism, Trump bellowed:

“You’re fired!”

The crowd went wild at his catch phrase.

The rally also was interrupted at least 10 separate times by protesters, some of whom were wearing “Black Lives Matter” shirts and chanting “Black Lives Matter.”

All were removed quickly as the crowd booed and Trump continued.

“If I could talk to these four people, I’d say you may be a Democrat, you may be a liberal, we’re going to make our country great … I really think I could talk sense into them. But remember it’s only four people,” he said after the eighth protest group was removed chanting “Black Lives Matter.”

He blamed Obama for dividing the country.
